The Puget Sound Business Journal and Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA) have recognized Angie Mykel, CEO of Keller Williams Greater Seattle, as an Outstanding Voice of Pride. Since 2016, the Business Journal and GSBA have been using the Outstanding Voice award to honor and highlight LGBTQ+ business leaders, allies, and advocates who are making a difference in advancing equality in the business world. This year Mykel was one of 11 individuals selected to be celebrated.
“We believe in creating opportunities and building representation that reflects the communities where we live and work,” said Angie Mykel, CEO & team leader of Keller Williams Greater Seattle. “It is our way of holding space for our agents and clients to feel seen and heard.” Mykel, a past board member for Seattle Pride, has been an active voice in Seattle’s LGBTQ+ community since 2009.
“I am so proud to see Angie Mykel recognized for her work” said Meredith Hansen, Operating Principal and Owner of KW Greater Seattle. “My vision for our company when we opened in 2008 was to be known for being diverse and including everyone no matter their identity. Angie has made this dream a reality with her forward thinking about DEI through her high-level actions.”
